Advocacy Day, scheduled for Thursday, April 25, 2025, is designed to educate nurses, student nurses, and nursing advocates on the legislative process and how to get actively involved. The event will cover key topics such as understanding advocacy, tracking and analyzing bills, the Louisiana legislative process, and current nursing-related legislative initiatives. Speakers will include policy experts, nursing leaders, and political strategists, guiding participants on how to effectively influence legislation. The day will conclude with a discussion on the Louisiana Nurses Political Action Committee and how Advocacy Day connects to Nurses Day at the Capitol.
